Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics Flower Thank You Card

Today I have a Quick and Simple Card to show you.  I needed a card quickly.

Here’s my card-hope you like it!  I cased it from someone but can’t find the original card.  This card uses a simple technique.  The Thank You  was stamped on a piece of  Post It Note so that it had ‘sticky’ under it.  Then trimmed closely.  Stamped the Thank You where I wanted it and then covered it exactly with the post it note.  Stamped the flower on to of it.  After stamping the flower (make sure the sentiment is good and dry),  heat emboss with Clear Stampin’ Emboss  Powder.  Then color in the flower and leaves using the Stampin’ Write Markers.

I choose Basic Black Cardstock as the base,  Peekaboo Peach as the accent card Stock.  Here are a list of the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in making this card.

Cardstock:  Basic Black Cardstock, Peekaboo Peach

Designer Series Paper: Whole Lot Of Lovely

Stamps used: Butterfly Basics, Flourishing Phrases

Inks:  Basic Black, Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive

Stampin’ Write Markers:  Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive

Enamel Shapes: Pear Pizazz

Lemon Lime Twist and Emerald Envy Smiling Card!

Got so excited when I saw the new Post Script Stamp in the new catalog.  Oh,my, so much fun.  It is a background stamp I had to use it first!  It is a large stamp, lovely full back ground for a regular card face or stamp it and cut up the stamped image to suit your design.  The square Very Vanilla Card Stock was stamped using Emerald Envy Ink.  Then I looked all over the stamp and found the perfect square for this card.  Die cut out and layered it with Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist.  See below for a list of the products that I used on this card.

Delightful Daisy DSP Graduation Gift Check Holder

You may have noticed that I haven’t posted since early April.  Life kinda has a funny way of  happening!  Many family members visiting, and most especially my work.  And then when I had a couple of days off, got my laundry caught up and went to my craft room, I couldn’t think of one single card I wanted to make!  Ever happen to you?  So without cards I had nothing to post about.  I finally gave in and pulled out the card fronts I made for On Stage the first of April.  I have never shown them and I do think they are pretty.  So I will be featuring them over the next few weeks trying to get my posting back on a regular basis I will start by posting just once a week on Saturday.

That said, I did make a couple of new cards recently and will feature those first.  The one I am showing today was a graduation check holder made with the lovely, inspiring Delightful Daisy DSP and the Daisy Punch.

This is the outside, the check I used was a Cashiers Check and it is unusually long- 8 1/2″.  The colors are: Calypso Coral and Old Olive.  See below for the list of supplies that I used on this project.

Here it is without the ‘Belly Band”.

The sentiment is mostly original.  I found the basic sentiment on the internet but was unable to find the author.  I changed quite a bit of it to suit my situation. The sentiment was printed from my computer on Whisper White Card Stock and cut to fit.  The little length of Whisper White at the bottom of the sentiment covers up my personal message and signature.  Forgot to take a picture  before I signed it!

Here are the supplies I used in making this holder.  If you would like the size of the cuts  please email me and I will be happy to send them to you.

HERE ARE THE CUTS:

Calypso Coral Card Stock: 9″ X  8 1/2″ : Score Longwise: 2 3/4″,  6 3/8″  Fold on these lines

Stampin’ Up! Easter Blessings Card in Daffodil Delight

I know, I know, those are Gladiolas!  After all I am from Gladiola growing country, acres and acres of Gladiolas being grown in South Florida.  The best party of this card?  The stamp set “Gift of Love” is a free hostess stamp set you can earn by buying $150 or more!

The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock, layered with Daffodil Delight Patterned Paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack and the die cut butterfly.   The Gladiola from Gift of Love Stamp Set is stamped in Basic Black.  This stamp set is a three step stamp set.  The outline is first stamped and then the second image is the buds and stems stamped in Old Olive.  The third step was the flowers stamped in Daffodil Delight.  The butterfly die cut is from the Bold Butterfly Thinlets set.  To finish it I placed a Daffodil Delight Enamel Dot for the head from the Brights Enameled Shapes Set.

The Sentiment is from the Suite Sayings Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black Ink.

The inside is finished by layering Whisper White Card Stock with an image of a lace Butterfly, from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set,  stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink.  All layers adhered using SNAIL adhesive.
