Stampin’ Up! Lemon Lime Twist with Night of Navy!

So surprised that EVERYONE didn’t fall immediately in love with Lemon Lime Twist.  That is the color that excites me of all the new colors!  Here I coupled it with Night of Navy.  Using the pretty matching papers from Eastern Palace Speciality Papers.  Eye catching for sure!  Sorry about the retired Special Reasons flowers but had to use them on this card.  One set that I will not be saying good bye to.  Wish SU had carried it over.

Tranquil Tide (leaves)

Stampin’ Up! Red, White, Blue Candy Crate!

Favorite holidays!  4th of July is up there near the top.  I love fireworks and parades.  That just yells out 4th of July!  Recently we had an Amy’s Inkin Team Meeting, these were my favors to pass out to all the attendees.  I actually found Red, White and Blue Peanut and Regular M & M’s!  Also the Kisses were in blue foil as well in the Birthday section of Walmart.

Don’t you love the roster on the ends?  He’s on both ends.  I stamped this after I die cut the crate out.

These are the supplies I used in making these cute Red, White and Blue Candy Crates!

Delightful Daisy DSP Graduation Gift Check Holder

You may have noticed that I haven’t posted since early April.  Life kinda has a funny way of  happening!  Many family members visiting, and most especially my work.  And then when I had a couple of days off, got my laundry caught up and went to my craft room, I couldn’t think of one single card I wanted to make!  Ever happen to you?  So without cards I had nothing to post about.  I finally gave in and pulled out the card fronts I made for On Stage the first of April.  I have never shown them and I do think they are pretty.  So I will be featuring them over the next few weeks trying to get my posting back on a regular basis I will start by posting just once a week on Saturday.

That said, I did make a couple of new cards recently and will feature those first.  The one I am showing today was a graduation check holder made with the lovely, inspiring Delightful Daisy DSP and the Daisy Punch.

This is the outside, the check I used was a Cashiers Check and it is unusually long- 8 1/2″.  The colors are: Calypso Coral and Old Olive.  See below for the list of supplies that I used on this project.

Here it is without the ‘Belly Band”.

The sentiment is mostly original.  I found the basic sentiment on the internet but was unable to find the author.  I changed quite a bit of it to suit my situation. The sentiment was printed from my computer on Whisper White Card Stock and cut to fit.  The little length of Whisper White at the bottom of the sentiment covers up my personal message and signature.  Forgot to take a picture  before I signed it!

Here are the supplies I used in making this holder.  If you would like the size of the cuts  please email me and I will be happy to send them to you.

HERE ARE THE CUTS:

Calypso Coral Card Stock: 9″ X  8 1/2″ : Score Longwise: 2 3/4″,  6 3/8″  Fold on these lines

Old Olive Card Stock: Belly Band: 2″ X 8 1/2″ (overlap in back)

Whisper White Card Stock: 2 1/2″ X 8 3/4″

Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper: 2 1/2″ X 8 3/4″ (top), 2″ X 8 3/4″ ( bottom)

Stampin’ Up! Easter Blessings Card in Daffodil Delight

I know, I know, those are Gladiolas!  After all I am from Gladiola growing country, acres and acres of Gladiolas being grown in South Florida.  The best party of this card?  The stamp set “Gift of Love” is a free hostess stamp set you can earn by buying $150 or more!

The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock, layered with Daffodil Delight Patterned Paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack and the die cut butterfly.   The Gladiola from Gift of Love Stamp Set is stamped in Basic Black.  This stamp set is a three step stamp set.  The outline is first stamped and then the second image is the buds and stems stamped in Old Olive.  The third step was the flowers stamped in Daffodil Delight.  The butterfly die cut is from the Bold Butterfly Thinlets set.  To finish it I placed a Daffodil Delight Enamel Dot for the head from the Brights Enameled Shapes Set.

The Sentiment is from the Suite Sayings Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black Ink.

The inside is finished by layering Whisper White Card Stock with an image of a lace Butterfly, from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set,  stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink.  All layers adhered using SNAIL adhesive.

Stampin’ Up! Succulent Garden DSP Congratulations

Are you going to miss Mint Macaron when it disappears June 3?  If you love it be sure to lay in a supply of Ink, refill and paper before it all disappears.  Supplies go pretty quickly in the favorite colors after Onstage.  Just a heads up.

This card base is  Mint Macaron Card Stock.  Kind of quick and clean.  The picture does not do it justice.  The card front is layered with Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper, with 5/8″ mini striped across the lower bottom.  Next a Whisper White Lace Doily (in Occasions Catalog-two sided, one Whisper White the other Very Vanilla) was layered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   A piece of the ribbon was also layered on top of that and ends notched. Ribbons were adhered using SNAIL Adhesive.

The sentiment is from Floral Phrases stamped in Mint Macaron and heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.  The sentiment was die cut using the appropriate size oval from Layering Ovals Framelits dies. The Mint Macaron back layer was die cut using an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.  This was adhered to the doily and ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flower is from the Special Reason Bundle.  I die cut the flower first in Whisper White Card Stock and using a Sponge Dauber I smudged it with Mint Macaron Ink.  The back of the flower was die cut from Mint Macaron Cardstock as was the leaf.

Adding pearls to the top left and a bit bigger pearl to the center of the flower.  The flower was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside was finished by layering Whisper White Card Stock and using Mint Macaron Ink and the stamps from the Special Reason Stamp Set I stamped the flower and the leaves. To make the flower more distinctive I just ‘dabbed’ more Mint Macaron Ink on the petals using a Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker.

Autism Matters Blog Hop

April 2 is National Autism Awareness Day!  Our group is featuring Autism colors of Blue, Red and Yellow.  I have a personal interest in Autism Month.  My 13 year old Great Grandson, Logan  is Autistic.  He is a wonderful child.  He is sweet, loving, thoughtful and loves helping.  I love his attitude and his approach to life in general.

Did you know that as early as infancy, a baby can begin to show the three hallmark features of autism: communication challenges, impaired social interactions, and repetitive behavior?   These characteristics and behaviors will follow this infant throughout his childhood into his adult years.

Please consider donating to this very worthwhile cause (a link to the donation site is below).  Advances are being made every day in caring and educating these children.  The Autism Society supports parents and facilities with Autistic children by providing Education, Advocacy, Referrals for services and promote research in Autism among many other thing.  To learn more click on the link above.

This card was created to exemplify hope, courage and especially celebrate life!  Colorful, vibrant and  exciting!  Logan is a star in my world and I am so happy and very proud  to be his Great Grandmother.  Here is my card for Logan.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tags in cheerful Daffodil Delight Thank You Card.

Spring has sprung here in North Georgia.  Just a week ago I was busily covering my Hosta’s pushing up from the ground to prevent freezing damage-temp expected was 22!  The early, tender leaves were slightly bitten but too bad.  So I thought this pretty “Springy” looking card would be a nice Thank You Card while the weather is warming up (and the pollen is falling)!

The card base here is Daffodil Delight layered with Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper in different Shade of Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.  I rounded all the corners to give the card a bit more Pizzazz.  The Flower was first die cut using the Flower die in Timeless Tags Thinlits dies out of Daffodil Delight.  The using this as a blank frame I glued it to a piece of Whisper White Card Stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   Using the same die again I die cut the center of the flower using Early Espresso Card Stock.  Carefully fitting the center into the frame I glued it using the Multipurpose Glue.

The inside of the flower was die cut from Crushed Curry card Stock and Wild Wasabi Card Stock.  These pieces were then matched to their puzzle and glued in place.  This layer was then adhered to a Daffodil Delight Layer and adhered to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensions.

The bow is Whisper White and made using the 5/8″ Organza Ribbon, adhered to the front of the card using several Glue Dots.  The Sentiment is from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. The Sentiment was then die cut from Layering Ovals Framelits.   It was framed by using the next large size and die cutting it from the Layering Ovals Framelits.  These two layers were adhered together using SNAIL Adhesive and all were adhered to the lower right front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here is a picture showing the dimensional designs of the front.

The inside of the card was layered with Whisper White Card Stock.  Before Layering I punched out the butterfly decoration from the Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies on the lower right hand side.  I carefully cut a small piece of DSP and layered it just under the die cuts and all were adhered tot he inside back by using SNAIL adhesive.
