This card was so much fun to create. I used DSP Botanical Gardens to suggest the colors so I choose Mint Macaroon. My new most favorite color from Stampin’Up!©. So very pretty, suggestive of spring but also all the gorgeous foliage coming in the summer months as well as a tropical flavor Using Whisper White to layer the card and used the thinnest to crop out some flowers, using candy dots for the flower centers and using Cajun Craze for the Sentiments on the front and inside. The sentiments are from the Stampin’Up!© stamp set “Butterfly Basics”. The flower inside is cropped from Botanical Gardens DSP ad layered over cropped flower in same form using Mint Macaroon. The corners were punched using the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. The ribbon was hand dyed using Mint Macaroon Ink Refill and 1/2 inch seam binding in Whisper White. I didn’t like any of the ribbons I had in Mint Macaroon. I kept it very light for contrast.
Spring break for most of our schools is the first full week of April. Hope I’m ready for it, I’ll have three of my grands for most of the week. I have planned a two night trip to Chattanooga, we will visit Ruby Falls, The Incline Railroad, the Riverwalk and of course the “Chattanooga ChooChoo”. With an indoor pool my 7, 8 and 10 years will hopefully be worn out with swimming and ready for bed early each night! I know I shall be ready. I’ll keep you posted! (That means lots of stampin’ between now and April 3.)
