Children’s / Boy’s Stampin’ Up! Quick and Easy Card in for a boy with unique use of Photopolymer stamps!

This card, well not really a card, was for my grandson’s 11th birthday.  He loves to figure things out so when we decided to give him a Unicycle for his birthday I had to come up with card to fit the occasion..  Then I decided a card was too much, I would make a tag to put on the Unicycle.  As the tag evolved it ended up being a card front BUT I decided not to finish it a a card.  I put my message on the back and made him try to guess what his gift was.  He never did, but he really enjoyed his gift.  The next morning he was able to balance on it and his dad says that he is very close to mastering it.  He lives in the city with lots of sidewalks to practice on.  I really love this card. (Or tag).

Bicycle

*Base is card size of 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ in Whisper White.

*Layered with Pacific Point and Stampin’ Up! Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper.

*Using Pacific Point Ink on Whisper White Card Stock stamp Sentiment from Stampin’Up! Crazy About You Stamp Set.  To get it in a circle use an absolutely clean stamping block and clean stamp back very well.  Then carefully place on block and curve them as much as possible while holding them down with your other hand.  Press them down very firmly.

*Die cut the sentiment using circle die that just fits outside the sentiment and then die cut using the next size die that just fits below the sentiment forming a frame.

*Die cut a circle the same size as the outer edge of sentiment using the window sheet.

*Adhere window sheet to back of Sentiment Circle frame using Stampin’ Up! Thin Glue Tip Pen.

*Using the new Stampin’ Up! (available June 1) Foam Adhesive Strips, carefully adhere to the back of the sentiment card on the frame of the circle.  Keep the ends of the strips butted up against each other.

***NOTE: I had some glitter left over from a Christmas Kit but if I didn’t have those I would use the Stampin’ Up! Metallics Sequin Assortment.

*Pull about half of top of strip off and adhere to lower half of card.  Then carefully place sequins or what you would like to put into the window.  Angling the card down to get all the sequins to the bottom then remove the other stip (I use very long thin craft tweezers).  Adhere the rest of the stip to the card base.

*Die Cut a circle that fits the top of the card using Pacific Point and then using the next size die cut a circle out of Whisper White.  (If I had been smart I would have used my die from the circle below to die cut just a small amount out of the bigger set so that the fit together better.  Realized that AFTER I finished the card).

*Adhere Whisper White Circle to Pacific Point Circle.

*Die Cut numbers from Large Numbers Framelit Set in Pacific Point and adhere to Whisper White Circle and glue all to front of card.

Hope you like this.  My own design on this one.  And a new way to use your photopolymer stamps.  On Saturday I will showcase another special card just for men.  It would make a great Fathers day card.
