Stampin’ Up! Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugar Plum-new colors-with Work of Art Stamp Set combine to give a special ‘arty’ look to this Card.

Hello everyone I have added some new pages and information, hope you will explore my blogsite.  More to come.  I have big ideas but so much ground work has to be done first.  Blogging is a fun!  for sure a super learning curve for an ‘elderly’ lady.  I heard a newscaster describe a 70 year old lady as elderly.  WOW!  did I take exception.   First time I ever thought that I might be considered  ‘elderly’.  As I age I have decided that the title we used for our grandmothers no longer apply.  I know way too many women (and men) who are still working as I am.  I think we are vibrant, energetic, interesting group of people but ‘elderly’.  No I don’t think that term even comes close to describing my generation!  Enough ranting.  Please check out this rather ‘arty’ card.

When I saw this pretty green Emerald Envy and the DSP Paper Stack-Playful Palette it was instant love.  Oh, my how these colors compliment each other and bring out the abstract patterns in the paper.  The little Emerald Envy Ribbon was used to make it look like a ‘prize’ winner!

The Card Base is Emerald Envy with a layer of Blushing Bride Cardstock.  Using Basic Black as a frame and layer under the Playful Palette DSP Stack.  The Sentiment was stamped with Memento’s Black Tuxedo Ink and heat embossed using Clear Stampin’ Up! Embossing Powder.  (Paper was prepared first dusting well with the Embossing Buddy.)  Then using a a die from the new Layer Squares Framelit Set I die cut one just a tad bigger in Basic Black and then the sentiment.  Adhering all using the Snail Adhesive. The top is embellished with three medium ‘jewels’ from the Rhinestone Basics and to finish the card I cut to short piece of Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon, adhered together with a glue dot, then folded in half (off center) and adhered to bottom of picture with glue dot.  The award is topped off by another gem from the Rhinestone Basic jewels.

Inside the card is also ‘arty’ don’t you think?  Blushing Bride Cardstock  is layered with Very Vanilla.  Using the ‘smudges’ stamps from Work of Art Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride and Emerald Envy.

  2. Thank you Amy and Mary. I do love these new colors, at first wasn’t sure but they quickly grow on you.

  3. I love the inside! Your randonmess is perfectly imperfect 🙂 And, I love the sentiment on the front — probably my all time favorite. Love your spirit and spunk.
