Looking for a ‘Ladies’ birthday card? Blushing Bride accented by Mint Macaroon Ribbon Bow. This card feels a bit more dainty by using Pink Pirouette pattern from the Subtles DSP Paper Stack.
The Card Stock base for this card is Blushing Bride with a layer of Whisper White Card Stock as the base for the front. I then added the DSP Pink Pirouette pattern from the Subtles DSP Paper Stack cut at 5″ X 2 “. The decorative border was die cut from Blushing Bride Card Stock using the border die from Flourish Thinlets set (exactly 5”). The Flower is from the ‘free’ hostess gift set “Gift of Love” (free with $150 order!) I
The flower is a three step stamp and I used a technique that actually turned the stamp into a four step stamp. The large ‘smudgey’ looking layer was first stamped in Pink Pirouette then using this same stamp again I carefully touched the edge of Blushing Bride Ink Pad to just parts of some of the flowers. I then stamped it again. The fourth layer was the leaves stamp and inked up with Mint Macaroon.
The flower, after it was stamped was cut at 2″ X 3″. It was layered on a piece of Blushing Bride Card Stock cut at 2 1/2″ X 3 1/2″ and adhered to the left side of the card.
The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped on Whisper White Card Stock using the sentiment form ‘Tin of Cards” Stamp Set in Blushing Bride. The stamped sentiment was then die cut from the 1 7/8″ Circle and adhered to the 2″ circle from the Layered Circles Set. This unit was then adhered to the lower right card front using SNAIL. The Mint Macaroon 3/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon bow was made and adhered to the upper right area of the card using glue dot.
The inside of the card was completed by stamping repeating the process of stamping the flower as above, then fussy cutting out two of the flowers and adhering to the inside the lower right side of the card on the Whisper White Layer using Multipurpose Glue. In the upper right the butterfly was punched out using the Bitty Butterfly Punch. Using a scrap of the Pink Pirouette DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack it was positioned under the punched out butterfly and adhered using glue dots to the corners. This Whisper White layer was adhered to the Blushing Bride Card Stock Card Base using SNAIL.
