The Floral Thinlets/Floral Phrases Stampin’ Up! Bundle is so very versatile. Peekaboo peach is perfect for this design. Pretty , eye catching and very appealing.
This lovely card was a ‘quick’. I cased it from Lee Ann Greff –Click here to go to her blog. I changed a few things up to make it my own. This paper and the die cut is awesome! Elegant, lacy looking and very feminine.
The base card (Whisper White Card Stock) is cut as usual 4 1/4″ X 11″ long ways. Scored at 5 1/2″ and folded to find the middle. The die is then placed on half of the card right the fold. Be sure to place the edgelit die just on the border. Die cut and using the brush tool remove all the little ‘crumbs’. Then take a piece of Peekaboo Peach Card Stock 4 1/4″ wide by 4 1/2″ long. Carefully glue to the underside using the Thin-Tip Glue Pen. When glue is dry run through the Big Shot with just the edgelet piece mirroring the Whisper White piece. Take a length of Peekaboo PeachRuched Ribbon and tie around the top of the card. Finish is an overhand bow and tie rather tightly into attractive knot. Trim ends of ribbon. I held the ribbon in place by picking up a glue dot and placing under ribbon to adhere to background in several places both the front and the inside. Finishing off the top by placing a Rhinestone Jewel in the middle of the lower flower.
The inside of the card was finished by stamping the lovely flower from Floral Phrases stamp set in Peekaboo Peach Ink centering it close to top. The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Peekaboo Peach Ink. Stamp the border from the Floral Phrases Stamp Set across the bottom of the inside. Stamp the border again across the end of a Whisper White Envelope.
The butterfly is from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set stamped in Peekaboo Peach on Whisper White and punched out using the Elegant Butterfly Punch. The back ground under the butterfly is a piece of Peekaboo Peach Card Stock die cut using an appropiate size die from the layering ovals framelits. I smudged the edge of the oval using a sponge dauber and Peekaboo Peach Ink. I placed Rhinestone on the butterfly for his head. The butterfly was adhered to the oval using Glue Dots. I placed two enamel hearts in Peekaboo Peach at each end of the oval.
This really was a quick and clean card project. I especially enjoyed the bundle of Peekaboo Peach Products that have so many wonderful matching products available: paper, ink, ribbon, DSP, Enamel Dots.
