This card looks kind of complicated but it is quick, clean and fun to play with. Lots of die cuts if you love your Big Shot!!! The card base is Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, and using two contrasting patterns from the Halloween Night DSP, one is cut at an angle and attached to the card base.
(Here is the card-I think one of those Halloween gremlins got into my computer! I could not get this to load Wednesday night, got up extra early today to get my blog completed before I go to work and it’s half the size it usually is. Of course I don’t have time to go back and resize it. So here it is! -Just to give you a picture, I am sitting in my recliner with laptop on lap, two Shih Zhu’s arguing who will sit where on my lap around my laptop. Did I mention I am also eating my breakfast while I work on this? I guess you could say that I am able to multitask!!)
As I said this has a lot of die cuts! Fun, fun, I just die cut a lot of them and started playing. The witch, the branches and the bats are die cut from basic black using the dies from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits-you can buy it separate but best deal is to buy it with the Spooky Fun matching stamp set and save 10%! The Holiday Catalog goes live today! Be sure to get your order in early. The moon is die cut using a small size of Layering Circles Framelits dies in Whisper White Card Stock. Then using a Sponge Dauber I ‘smeared’ Delightful Dijon Ink all over to give a kind of glow. The witch, bats and limbs are adhered using Multipurpose glue. The Sentiment is the largest scalloped Oval from the Layering Oval Framelits set die cut in Basic Black Card Stock then layered with Pumpkin Pie Card Stock cut form two sizes down in the Layering Oval Framelits. The Sentiment is from the Spooky Fun Stamp Set stamped using Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. It was die cut using three sizes down of the Layering Oval Framelits. I adhered it to the card front using Stamping Dimensionals to give a bit of definition.
The inside was fun. Using two stamps from the Halloween Scares Stamp Set I stamped the three bats (one stamp!) in Tuxedo Black on the upper left corner on Whisper White Card Stock. I then stamped the cut black cat in the lower right corner using Tuxedo Black. Using the piece of scrap that I can cut the moon out of for the front and Delightful Dijon Ink, I sponge daubered the moon over the big bat. I then stamped the cut little black cat on the lower right side of the card. I consider this one quick and easy.
