Window on Halloween “Spooky Fun” for Amy’s Inking Krew Fall/Halloween Blog Hop! Halloween is fast approaching and Stampin’ Up! ‘s new Holiday Catalog has lots of fun ‘Spooky’ Halloween Stamps as well as some pretty ‘cool’ Fall Stamp Sets.
This card features a window on Halloween! Changed the traditional Halloween colors up a bit by featuring Delightful Dijon for the background. So here is how the card went together. First I choose Basic Black Card Stock as my card base. Then layered on a piece of Delightful Dijon Card Stock and next a layer of Delightful Dijon patterned paper from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. The Window Frame was die cut using the Hearth and Home Framelits set. The base behind the window is a piece of Basic Gray Card Stock. Using a mask for the windows I stamped the moon image from the Spooky Fun Stamp Set to the upper right window using Delightful Dijon. The upper left window spider web and spider were stamped Tuxedo Black, images from Spooky Fun Stamp Set . The lower left window headstones were stamped in basic gray also from the Spooky Fun Stamp Set. The black cat in the lower right window was stamped using Tuxedo Black, image from Halloween Scares Stamp Set. (All layers were adhered using SNAIL adhesive).
The pumpkins were stamped in Tuxedo Black on Delightful Dijon Card Stock and die cut using the Halloween Edgelits die. They were adhered using Stampin Dimensionals. Trick or Treat was stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink on Delightful Dijon Card Stock and die cut using the matching size in Layering Oval Framelit set. The next size die was chosen to die cut the Basic Black Card Stock to form a frame for the sentiment. This unit was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensions.
The front of the the card was completed by die cutting two bats out of Basic Black Card stock using the die fro Halloween Scenes Framelit Set. The Halloween Framelits and the Spooky Fun Stamp set are available in a bundle and saves you 10% over the individual units.
The inside of the card is layered Delightful Dijon and Whisper White. Across the lower right side I placed two rows of contrasting Halloween Designer Washi Tape. The pumpkins were stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink on Delightful Dijon Card Stock and cut out as for the front of the card.
