When I first looked at the Petals and Paisleys Speciality DSP I was not impressed. There were only a couple patterns that I thought I would use. Then I got my hands on the paper and it is lucious! I love vintage look, anything vintage and Delightful Dijon is the most vintage of all colors recently! Using the Basket of Wishes Stamp set was the perfect combination for a card that shouts vintage.
The card base is Delightful Dijon Card Stock layered with the Petals and Paisleys Speciality DSP. I then layered Soft Suede Card Stock with Delightful Dijon and stamped my image from Basket of Wishes on Very Vanilla Card Stock using Tuxedo Black Ink. I then used the Stampin’ Up! Markers to color the fruit, I used Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, the basket is colored in Soft Suede. I then cut it out into a square centering the image and layered all and adhereing to card front using SNAIL adhesive.
While I had my markers handy I again stamped the basket image on the back flap of Stampin’ Up! Medium Crumb Cake Envelope and colored it in as well.
The sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede Ink in Very Vanilla Card Stock. Choosing an Oval Die from the Layering Ovals Framelits I die cut it. The next two sizes of Oval Framelits were used to cut the largest from Delightful Dijon and the other layer from Soft Suede.
Using the Delightful Dijon Ribbon from the 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack in the Holiday Catalog I adhered a strip across the upper part of the card. I then adhered the image to the lower right side of the card front. Then using Stampin’ dimensionals I added the sentiment to the upper left side.
Finishing touch, a small, neat bow in the 3/8″ Delightful Dijon Ribbon.
The inside sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla using Delightful Dijon Ink, layering a stripe of the 3/8″ Delightful Dijon Ribbon to the left side. I then layered all using SNAIL adhesive. Don’t you think it turned out to look kind of “Vintage”?
