For several years I made little treat bags for almost any occasion and passed them out to my coworkers at the long term care facility. I would make up to 50 bags at a time! Now that I am working with a smaller group of people, and I really don’t know them that well I decided not to continue to make all those treat bags.
However, loving to make the little treat bags I was excited when I realized our ‘Inkin’ Team was having a get together the end of September. (Amy’s Inking’ Krew). Oh, what a great opportunity to make treat bags again! Not sure I could hold up to making 50 of these! (I only made 10)!
This adorable treat holder is time intensive but oh, so much fun to finish! It is holding three pieces of DOVE Chocolate Candy and some little teensy, tiny packages of Altoids. Don’t you think it is cute and too Spooky!
The bag is made by using Stampin’ Up! Treat Holder Framelit and Pumpkin Pie Card Stock adhering all edges using Fast Fuse to give it a good hold. Before gluing all the edges I used Tuxedo Black and the House and Bat stamps from the Spooky Fun and Halloween Scares Stamp sets. I then stamped the scare crow, crow and the trick or treat bag stamps from Cookie Cutter Halloween on Very Vanilla Card Stock. He was punched out using the Cookie Cutter Punch. I then colored him using Aqua painter and Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Dapper Denim, Real Red and Crushed Curry Ink pads. When ink was totally dry using a sponge dauber and Crumb Cake Ink I ‘smudged’ him all over to give him a ‘field’ look. I also colored in the little trick or treat bag using the same colors. The pumpkins (from Spooky Fun Stamp Set)were stamped using Tuxedo Black on Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and die cut using the Halloween Scenes Edgelits dies. The fence as well was die cut using the die from Halloween Scene Edgelits die. All were adhered using Multipurpose Glue for easy positioning.
The Crow and Trick or Treat little bag were ‘fussy’ cut. Using the Halloween Night Bakers Twine I wrapped it around the top three times and tied in a bow. To finish off the bag, I stamped the Sentiment (from Spooky Fun), in Tuxedo Black on Pumpkin Pie and a scrap of Halloween Night Speciality DSP. I then die cut both using two graduated dies from the Tags and Labels Die set. Adhering together using SNAIL adhesive. I then attached it to the top of the bag with the Bow Binder Clips.
