Valentine’s Day is everyone’s favorite holiday! What is NOT to like about Chocolates, Flowers and pretty Valentine Cards? When I was in elementary school (during the Dark Ages), we use to bring a shoebox to school and decorate it with colored paper and sometimes pictures cut from magazines and of course our own art work. Wish I had some pictures of those early Valentine Boxes! Then we would each go around the room ‘delivering’ Valentines. We always had a little party with pink punch and cookies. Fond memories.
This pretty stamp Bundle – Sealed with Love is in the Occasions catalog. Real Red and Whisper White just shout Valentines day!
The card base is Whisper White Card Stock with a layer of Real Red Card Stock. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red Ink using the Love-Note Stamp from Sealed with Love Stamp Set. I then die cut the oval using the Layering Ovals Framelits set. The DSP is Sending Love DSP Stack! Lot’s of pretty paper in this little 6 X 6 DSP Stack. The sentiment was then adhered to the top of the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The two featured squares were die cut from Whisper White Card Stock using the scalloped Square in the Layering Squares Framelits set. Next layer is from the Sending Love DSP Paper Stack, cut using the plain sided square dies in the next size smaller. The pretty hearts are die cuts in Whisper White using the Love Notes Framelits Dies as are the arrows die cut in Real Red Card Stock.
Added the hearts from enameled shapes on each end, It was then die cut using an oval die from the Layered Ovals Framelits. Next I cut the back ground for the oval from ………dsp using the next size up oval die cut. This was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Squares were adhered to each other and to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive. The hearts and arrows were adhered using the Fine Tip Glue Pin. Just between the sentiment and the
Sending Love Ribbon Combo pack has the sweet narrow 1/8″ grosgrain Whisper White Ribbon adhered across the Real Red Card Stock securing it in the back of the card. Two small pieces of the ribbon were tied once just above each square and trimmed close to the knot.
To finish the front I added the two hearts from the Bright Enameled Shapes.
The inside was quickly finished by layering Real Red Card Stock with Whisper White Card Stock and adhered to the back inside with SNAIL adhesive. The sentiment is from the Sealed with Love Stamp set and stamped in Real Red Ink.
