Ah, what do you make for a 13 year old boy that doesn’t play sports? He does play the cello but I couldn’t come up with a card for that. So…I decided an eclectic card would do. Here is what I came up with. Using Foil Frenzy in Lemon Lime Twist I paired it with Gold Numbers, and Lemon Lime Card Stock. I think it turned out pretty nifty. At first when I created it I wanted to the leave the front plain, but after some thought I added from stars from two different die sets that were coordinating. Gold Foil kind of sets it off.
Since I wanted to use die cut gold foil numbers I had to contrive a different way of creating my shaker card. Using two window sheets I made a ‘shaker pocket’ adhered to the back of the patterned foil card front. The pocket was created by first adhering a piece of window sheet to the back of the die cut round opening. I used Fast Fuse. Next using Foam Adhesive Strips I outlined the window placing the Foam directly on the window sheet. Next I cut another piece of window sheet about the same size and then carefully place some sequins on the open area. Placing the second sheet of window sheet on top of the foam adhesive strips sealed it carefully. The front was then adhered to the Card Front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the die cut piece from the front of the card I adhered it to a piece of Whisper White Card Stock The Happy Birthday Thinlit was die cut in Lemon Lime Card Stock and adhered on top of the die cut. The materials I used in this card can be found listed below.
Stampin’ Up! materials used in making this card:
Card Stock: Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White
Paper: Foil Frenzy Speciality Designer Series Paper , Gold Foil Sheets

Foam Adhesive Strips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Fast Fuse
The Birthday Delivery Bundle with the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper was designed (I am sure) just for this very cute juvenile note card set! A perfect gift for a young mom, grandma or great grandma. How many times have you been hunting for a card to include in a gift for child’s birthday party? This set has four note cards perfect for including a gift bag or just to tuck some money inside. These are neat because they really don’t bring to mind boy or girl. Old Olive, Pacific Point, Real Red and Daffodil Delight are the colors I used to create this cute set.
This set was cased from Stamping with Dawns’ You Tube found here. Isn’t it cute? AND the best part is the cards and envelopes are already to be decorated!
I want to post this. Come back later today if you would like to see a list of the supplies I used. Thank you for reading my blog today! Happy Sunday!

The colors in this Carried Away Designer Series Paper are so bright and cheerful! Combined they make me want to smile. However, this Designer Series Paper is going to be Carried Away on April 1. You have just one more day to order and get this bright paper free!!! (order of $50 or more).
The card base is Peekaboo Peach Card Stock and layered with Watermelon Wonder Card Stock and a layer of Carried Away DSP. The Sentiment is Stylized Birthday Stamp (only in rubber/wood block) and stamped in Watermelon Wonder on Whisper White Card Stock. The Sentiment was heat embossed by using Stampin’ Clear Embossing Powder over the Watermelon Wonder Ink.
The Sentiment was then die cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and layered with a piece of Carried Away DSP die cut using next larger die in Layering Squares Framelits. The next frame is die cut from the next larger die in Layering Squares Framelits and all layers adhered together using SNAIL adhesive. This panel was then adhered to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it some height.
The hot air balloons are from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set stamped in Archival Black Ink, on Carried Away DSP and die cut using the matching dies from the Lift Me Up Bundle. These were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This angle shows the dimensional effect a little bit better.
The inside was finished by stamping the smaller balloons in Watermelon Wonder on Whisper White Card Stock. The clouds are also from that Stamp Set and are stamped in Smoky Slate. The sentiment is from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and stamped in Watermelon Wonder.

The first time I saw a Twist and Pop card I got so excited. I knew I wanted to make one but couldn’t decide just which stamp set or sets I wanted to use. My granddaughter, who just happens to love dogs (Ok any furry animal), was turning 10 and I needed a very special Birthday Card for her. While looking through my stamp sets I noticed Bella & Friends, and counted- yes there were four kitty stamps that would fit on those smaller sections. So, running out of time I quickly went through my DSP and quickly settled on Party Animal Designers Series Paper in the Occasions Catalog. Love the Emerald Envy!
Then I began looking through all my saved You Tube videos on Pop & Twist Cards. I found the perfect one and when I finished this card I was so happy I did. All her tips made my card ‘pop’ out just as it was supposed. Here is the link for the video: Rajni’s Craftivity. The video is so very easy to follow and the card goes together very easily if you carefully follow the video.
The card base is larger than usual- 5 1/2″ X 6″ (Card Stock cut at 6″ X 11″, scored and folded at 5 1/2″). Yes, I had to make my own envelope-easy-peasy when you use the envelope making board. The Color Stock used in this card is Emerald Envy and Whisper White. The DSP is the Party Animal DSP.
I formed the ‘belly band’ by cutting Whispr White Card Stock -two lengths cut at 3/4″ X 7 inches. I overlapped the ends to fit the card around and using Fast Fuse taped the ends together. Before taping I stamped the squiggles using the stamp from the Ballon Adventure Stamp Set. I stamped the kitty on Whisper White Card Stock in Black Stazon Ink and colored in using GoldenDijon, Pacific Blue, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy and Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Markers. Then I die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Die Set circle that would outline kitty perfectly. Using the next size up circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Set I die cut it in Emerald Envy, and the largest circle was die cut the largest die from the Layered Circles Framelits set. All were adhered using SNAIL adhesive. The two little ties are Emerald Envy 1/8″ Taffet Ribbon in Emerald Envy and the trinket are from the Party Animal Embellishments in the Occasions Catalog.
This shows it about to pop open, this mechanism is so good that when the belly band is removed the card almost pops open by itself! The mechanism was made using Emerald Envy Card Stock.
And here it is open! Cut huh? All the kitties arerom the Pretty Kitty Stamp set, The balloon was carefully masked from then Bella & Friends Stamp Set. The kitties were all colored in using GoldenDijon, Pacific Blue, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy and Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Markers. By the way, this card closes very easily as well!
The back page of the card was finished by stamping, in Emerald Envy Ink, the sentiment from Confetti Celebration on Whisper White Card Stock. The balloons are from Balloon Celebration stamped in Crushed Curry. It was then die cut using next to largest Lots of Labels Framelits. The edges were smudged using Emerald Envy Ink and a Sponge Dauber.
This card was so much fun to make. Of course I had to make my own envelope, I used 12″ x 12″ Whisper White Card Stock and the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board.
Hope you like my card!

Cheerful, bright, happy, adventure, fun! This card says them all and done with Night of Navy make this a perfect card for a special 13 year old great Grandson! Sometimes it’s hard coming up with an idea for someone special and my Great Grandson is one of those very special kids! I wanted his card to say all of the above and still be appropriate for a boy. This is what I came up with.
The card base is Night of Navy with a layer of Carried Away DSP (Sale-A-Bration-Free!!! with a $50 order). I pulled the colors of Peekaboo Peach, Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder to brighten up this card. The panel with the ballons on it is Night of Navy with a layer of Whisper White Card Stock. Using the two medium size hot air ballon stamps from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set I stamped them in Night of Navy on a separate sheet of Whisper White Card Stock and using my Blender Pen and Peekaboo Peach and Night of Navy Ink Pads I colored them in. Then I die cut them using their matching dies from Up and Away Thinlet Set. (Comes as a bundle and you save 10%!) These were adhered to the white panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The numerals 13 were die cut from the Carried Away DSP and Night of Navy Card Stock. These were adhered together slightly off, creating a shadow effect. Then I using the scalloped die from the Layering Squares Framelit Set I cut the background in Night of Navy. I then used a plain sided die from the same set just the next size smaller. The numerals were adhered to the Whisper White Card Stock and then to the Night of Navy Card Stock and positioned on the lower right front and adhered using SNAIL adhesive.
The inside of the card was finished by stamping in Night of Navy Ink on Whisper White Card Stock the smaller ballon shape from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set. The Sentiment is from the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set.

I wanted to show more sky and I wanted to feature the Peekaboo Peach with the Mint Macaron. So here is my offering for today. I fun fold, and this card was so easy to complete after laying all the pieces out they all fit together perfectly in this little tableau.
The card base is Peekaboo Peach Card Stock cut at 8 1/2 ” X 4 1/4 inches. Then I folded each side in to meet in the middle by scoring at 2 1/4″ and 6 1/4″ on the long side. Next use a piece of Carried Away Designer Series Paper (FREE in the Sale A Bration Catalog with a $50 purchase). I used coordinating prints on the top of bottom flap.
Next I Die cut the balloon in Mint Macaron using the Up and Away Thinlets Die. I also first laid out the colors I wanted in the order I wanted them on the inside of the balloon. I sued Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder Card Stock die cutting the strips from the Up And Away Thinlets dies. Using a silicone sheet and Fine Tip Glue I carefully glued all the inside balloon pieces.
I also die cut the little clouds from the same die cut set using Thick Whisper White Card Stock. The ballon was adhered carefully overlapping just a bit with SNAIL Adhesive. I then adhered the clouds using Stamping Dimensionals.
The Sentiment is fro the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and stamped on the lower right front in Basic Black Ink.
The inside was finished by adhereing a piece of the Carried Away DSP to the middle part of the card. The adhereing a second layer using Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped the smallest ballon stamp in Peekaboo Peach. I also finished the back of the balloon by die cutting matching stripes, gluing in place with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and trimming to fit with small paper snips.
This card is so colorful and cheerful, it would also make a nice get well card with the right sentiment.

Don’t you just love ALL the great things you can do with the new Stampin’ Up! Balloon Adventures Stamp Set paired with the new Party Animal Designer Series Paper. For this card I chose the great Tangerine Tango Card Stock for my base card. I then paired it with Crushed Curry Card Stock and Emerald Green Card Stock to make this bright Birthday Card.
To create the front I used the new (soon to be available on January 16th), Stitched Framelits Dies so beautifully enhance the three die cuts. Emerald Green, Party Animal DSP and topped with Whisper White Card Stock. The Sentiment if fro the Ballon Adventures Stamp Set and stamped in Emerald Green Ink.
The sentiment was adhered with SNAIL. The completed sentiment item was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Emerald Green 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon was adhered to the front and secured behind the Crushed Curry Layer. The two little balloons are from the Party Animal Embellishments in the Occasions Catalog. They are tied to the Emerald Envy Ribbon with Whisper White Bakers Twine. The pretty die cut bow is Crushed Curry die cut using the die from the Ballon Pop-Up Thinlits Set.
The inside of the card was finished by layering Crushed Curry and Whisper White. I stamped the pretty party ‘squiggles’ in the lower corners in Crushed Curry. The sentiment is from the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set, stamped in Emerald Green Envy Ink.
