Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics Flower Thank You Card

Today I have a Quick and Simple Card to show you.  I needed a card quickly.

Here’s my card-hope you like it!  I cased it from someone but can’t find the original card.  This card uses a simple technique.  The Thank You  was stamped on a piece of  Post It Note so that it had ‘sticky’ under it.  Then trimmed closely.  Stamped the Thank You where I wanted it and then covered it exactly with the post it note.  Stamped the flower on to of it.  After stamping the flower (make sure the sentiment is good and dry),  heat emboss with Clear Stampin’ Emboss  Powder.  Then color in the flower and leaves using the Stampin’ Write Markers.

I choose Basic Black Cardstock as the base,  Peekaboo Peach as the accent card Stock.  Here are a list of the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in making this card.

Cardstock:  Basic Black Cardstock, Peekaboo Peach

Designer Series Paper: Whole Lot Of Lovely

Stamps used: Butterfly Basics, Flourishing Phrases

Inks:  Basic Black, Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive

Stampin’ Write Markers:  Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive

Enamel Shapes: Pear Pizazz

Lemon Lime Twist and Emerald Envy Smiling Card!

Got so excited when I saw the new Post Script Stamp in the new catalog.  Oh,my, so much fun.  It is a background stamp I had to use it first!  It is a large stamp, lovely full back ground for a regular card face or stamp it and cut up the stamped image to suit your design.  The square Very Vanilla Card Stock was stamped using Emerald Envy Ink.  Then I looked all over the stamp and found the perfect square for this card.  Die cut out and layered it with Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist.  See below for a list of the products that I used on this card.

Card Stock:  Emerald Envy

Lemon Lime Twist

Very Vanilla

Paper: Eastern Palace Speciality Designer Series Paper

Stamps: Postscript

Lift Me Up (stamped in Lemon Lime Twist Ink)

Ribbon: 3/8″ Classic Weave Whisper White

(Using Emerald Envy Ink Pad I colored this ribbon to match the card)

Delightful Daisy DSP Graduation Gift Check Holder

You may have noticed that I haven’t posted since early April.  Life kinda has a funny way of  happening!  Many family members visiting, and most especially my work.  And then when I had a couple of days off, got my laundry caught up and went to my craft room, I couldn’t think of one single card I wanted to make!  Ever happen to you?  So without cards I had nothing to post about.  I finally gave in and pulled out the card fronts I made for On Stage the first of April.  I have never shown them and I do think they are pretty.  So I will be featuring them over the next few weeks trying to get my posting back on a regular basis I will start by posting just once a week on Saturday.

That said, I did make a couple of new cards recently and will feature those first.  The one I am showing today was a graduation check holder made with the lovely, inspiring Delightful Daisy DSP and the Daisy Punch.

This is the outside, the check I used was a Cashiers Check and it is unusually long- 8 1/2″.  The colors are: Calypso Coral and Old Olive.  See below for the list of supplies that I used on this project.

Here it is without the ‘Belly Band”.

The sentiment is mostly original.  I found the basic sentiment on the internet but was unable to find the author.  I changed quite a bit of it to suit my situation. The sentiment was printed from my computer on Whisper White Card Stock and cut to fit.  The little length of Whisper White at the bottom of the sentiment covers up my personal message and signature.  Forgot to take a picture  before I signed it!

Here are the supplies I used in making this holder.  If you would like the size of the cuts  please email me and I will be happy to send them to you.

Stampin’ Up! Quick and easy Thank You Card in Melon Mambo

Here is a quick and easy Thank You  card for that occasion when you really want to express your delight in something someone has given you or done for you.   Lots of room inside to write your gracious Thank You Note.

Card base is Melon Mambo Card Stock with front panel of Basic Black Card Stock and Pop of Pink Speciality DSP.  Before adhereing this panel wrap a length of Basic Black Baker’s Twine around the panel lengthwise and tie in a bow.

The sentiment circle panel is three layers of Basic Black, Pop of Pink Speciality DSP and Whisper White.  The sentiment from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set was stamped in Melon Mambo on Whisper White Card Stock.  The sentiment was then die cut using the Circle Die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.    The other two layers were cut in graduating sizes from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. This Circle Panel was adhered to the lower right front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish off the front I added two Heart Embellishments in Melon Mambo from the Brights Enameled Shapes.

The inside was finished using Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape across the upper right  and lower left corner on the Whisper White Card Stock.

Beautiful You Birthday Card in Mint Macaron and Soft Sky

I needed something quick, a soft, feminine, lovely looking card for a very sweet future granddaughter-in-law!  This is what I came up with.  When sitting at my desk,  my eyes fell upon the mask from my last post.  I already was pretty sure I wanted to use  Beautiful You Stamp so pulled it out,  and decided to go with Mint Macaron Card Stock layered with Whisper White Card Stock.    The background is the masking technique I described in another post recently.   used sponging with Mint Macaron and Soft Sky Inks.  I then stamped the girl in Basic Black Ink  with the Sentiment also in Basic Black Ink.  These are from the Beautiful  You stamp set.   I tried jewels (diamonds) but they didn’t look right so I added pearls and they were just right.

The inside was finished by stamping the sentiment from the Stylized Birthday Stamp  in Soft Sky. Quick and easy.  She loved the card!  She says she keeps all my cards and someday will make a display of them.

Be sure to check my blog on Saturday March 4th.  I have a WOW! of a card to show you.  I liked it so much I almost didn’t sent it.

The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp set.   I stamped the little hen using Black Stazon Ink on Whisper White Card Stock.  Using the new Water Color Pencils I used Daffodil Delight, rich Razzelberry, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay.  Then using an Aquapainter I blended all the colors to get this colorful Hen!  The Bermuda Bay background was first dry embossed using the Seaside Embossing Folder.

Presents and Pinecones DSP create a lovely, fun fold Christmas Card in Mint Macaron!

This fold is rather different, easy to do and creates a pretty use of the double sided coordinating DSP.

This card is easily made by cutting your card base at the usual 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″.  Scoring first at 4 1/4″ and then score on one side at 1 1/2″.  Fold the card in half and then fold the last fold back out towards the center.  The DSP is cut at 1 1/4″ and adhered to the card front folded out section with SNAIL.

It’s not necessary but I added a piece of Whisper White on the back side of the fold and then a coordinating piece of DSP adhered to the back page of the card.

The front was created by cutting a 3 1/2″ square piece of  Whisper White Card Stock and adhereing it to apiece of Emerald Envy Card Stock cut at 3 3/4″ square.

The Wreath is made by using the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set-it’s a three step stamp!  Stamping on a piece of Whisper White Card Stock:  The first layer was stamped in Mint Macaron Ink, the second layer was stamped in Emerald Envy and the berry layer was stamped in Real Red Ink.  It was then die cut using the Big Shot and the Wonderful Wreath Framelits die.  I then adhered it to the square of Whisper White using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The bow is made from 3/8″ Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon and adhered with a Glue Dot.

The completed unit is then adhered to the front of the card.  I used SNAIL adhesive on the flap and used Stampin’ Dimensionals on the side.

The inside was finished by stamping the sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock in Mint Macaron Ink. The sentiment is from the Wonder of Christmas Stamp Set in the Holiday Catalog.

The back was finished by stamping the Holly Spray from the Holly Berry Happiness Stamp Set (Holiday Catalog)  in Emerald Envy.  The Berries were then colored in using Stampin Write Marker in Real Red (Holiday Catalog).   The Sentiment on the back page is from the Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set and stamped in Emerald Envy.
