Lemon Lime Twist and Emerald Envy Smiling Card!

Got so excited when I saw the new Post Script Stamp in the new catalog.  Oh,my, so much fun.  It is a background stamp I had to use it first!  It is a large stamp, lovely full back ground for a regular card face or stamp it and cut up the stamped image to suit your design.  The square Very Vanilla Card Stock was stamped using Emerald Envy Ink.  Then I looked all over the stamp and found the perfect square for this card.  Die cut out and layered it with Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist.  See below for a list of the products that I used on this card.

This little chicken just screams bright colors.  For this card I used Bermuda Bay Card Stock layered with Basic Black Card Stock card base.  The bright yellow of course is Daffodil Delight  Ink and Card Stock. The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp set.   I stamped the little hen using Black Stazon Ink on Whisper White Card Stock.  Using the new Water Color Pencils I used Daffodil Delight, rich Razzelberry, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay.  Then using an Aquapainter I blended all the colors to get this colorful Hen!  The Bermuda Bay background was first dry embossed using the Seaside Embossing Folder.

Stampin’ Up! Petals and Paisleys Speciality DSP in Cajun Craze Thankful Card

Another Fall card!  Don’t you love Fall?  My favorite season.  I do not do summer very well, so Fall is a welcome relief and I get to wear turtle necks and wools.  Crisp mornings just somehow inspire energy in me!

So here is another Fall Card.  Cajun Craze Card Stock is the basic card.  I did a little differently with the DSP on this card.  The DSP here is a pattern from the Petals and Paisleys Speciality DSP and I used my sponge to light dip into the Cajun Craze Ink Pad and buff over the pattern to kind of make the background a bit darker.  Using the Banners Framelits Dies I die cut a banner in Crushed Curry to fit the left 1/3 of the card front.  I  then smudged the edge of the Crushed curry Card Stock with a Sponge Dauber and Cajun Craze.

Next I adhered the checkered patterned DSP from Petals and Paisleys Speciality DSP to a piece of Cajun Craze Card Stock.  The sentiment is from the Paisley’s and Posies Stamp Set and is stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock using Cajun Craze.  Next I smudged the background with Cajun Craze and using a couple of the tiny leave stamps I stamped off twice and ‘shadow’ stamped all over the background in a collage manner.  All layers were adhered using SNAIL adhesive.

The fancy paisley die cut on the upper left was done by using the medallion (I don’t know what else to call it) die from the Paisle Framelits Dies in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.  Getting all those little holes poked out was accomlished with the new die brush.  The brush and sponge pad are wonderful getting all those little nooks and crannies cleaned up in a jiffy.  I adhered the medallion to the card front using glue dots.

The inside of the card was competed by layering Crushed Curry Card Stock with Very Vanilla Card Stock and smudging all the edges in Cajun Craze Ink.  The leaves are a repeat from the front and done in the same way stamping off twice.

Pink Flamingoes! and Pop of Pink a Happy Hello Card

This PINK card was so much fun.  To me Flamingoes are kind of corny.  When driving through different neighborhoods in Florida one sees Flamingoes in many yards. I found a pair at a yard sale and put them by our pond just to tease my husband.  I finally got rid of them-they got kind of faded after awhile.

But here is a really pretty Pink Flamingo.  She even has jewels!  Check out her diamond necklace. For the base of this card I used Melon Mambo Card Stock.  Next adhered a layer of Basic Black Card Stock and topped it by placing a layer of Pop of Pink DSP on top.  All layers were adhered using SNAIL adhesive.  The corners were rounded using the Project Life Corner Punch.  Black patterned Washi tape is from Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape.  Next I made a layer of Basic Black Card Stock topped with a Layer of Whisper White Card Stock.  Using the Corner Punch on all corners.  Using Melon Mambo Ink I stamped the Flamingo Image from the Pop of Paradise Stamp Set.  Using the “Hello” sentiment stamp and Melon Mambo Ink I stamped it on Whisper White Card Stock.  The sentiment is from there Pop of Paradise Stamp Set.  Then I chose a  die from the Layered Circles Framelits that just fit the sentiment stamped image.  Choosing the next size up I die cut a circle in Basic Black Ink.  I adhered these two layers together and adhered them to the lower right front of the card  using Stampin Dimensionals.

The card front was finished by placing Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the neck of the Famingo, above and below the sentiment and on the lower left side.

The inside was finished by layering Basic Black Card Stock and topping it with Whisper White Card Stock. Two rows of contrasting Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape finish the inside.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Branches stamp set with Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper background

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Branches Sentiment  and Night of Navy Card Stock create a perfect ‘masculine’ feeling “Your in My Thoughts” Card but is appropriate for an elegant woman as well!

Thoughtful Branches Bundle is only going to be available until August 31!  If you don’t have this versatile stamp set, order it today!  I love the sentiments on it, AND all the fun things you can do with the trees, tree, etc.

The Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper is perfect for elegance don’t you agree?  There are so many coordinating patterns in this Series.  I posted a card several weeks ago using four of the patterns!  All lovely, hard to choose just one.  This card Clean and Simple Card  features two designs in this paper series.

The card base is Night of Navy Card Stock, the lower half is Flora Boutique DSP adhered with SNAIL adhesive.  Using Night of Navy Ink I stamped the sentiment from Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set on Whisper White Card Stock.  I then die cut it using an appropriate size of scalloped die from the Layering Circles Framelit Set.  I then die cut the next layer using Night of Navy in the very next size scalloped Die.  The final layer is two sizes up scalloped Circle using the Floral Boutique DSP.  I then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Using Night of Navy Solid Bakers Twine I wrapped it around the lower 1/3 several times and tied it in a bow.

The card front was completed by adding two medium size Metal Rim Pearls to the right upper side.

Grateful Bunch and Jar of Love are sweet Thank you Card in Mint Macaron.

Summer flowers are beginning to fade.  I just noticed today that Walmart is already displaying potted fall mums here in the South!  Just a little early I think.  The weather here is stinkin’ hot.  Humid and sticky.  A few brief showers today and then it felt even more unbearable.  In the mid 90’s.

I used Mint Macaron to give this card a little breath of fresh flowers, maybe a cooler breeze!  Even the breezes have been hot this summer!  The base is Mint Macaron Card Stock with a layer of Blooms and Bliss DSP.  Then using the lovely flower stems in the Jar of Love Stamp Set I stamped them twice using Mint Macaroon.

The jar was made by using Stazon Black Ink on a window Sheet  and then using the matching jar die cut from Everyday Jar Framelits set.  Using just a drop of  the Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the sides, top and bottom I adhered the die cut positioning it over the flower stems.

Using the flower stamp from Grateful Bunch Stamp Set I used Tuxedo Black on  Very Vanilla Card Stock and then punched out the flowers using the coordinating Blossom Bunch Punch.   Using a sponge dauber and Mint Macaroon Ink Pad I smudged each flower to get just a hint of green.  The centers are Daffodil Delight using a sponge dauber.  Positioning the flowers  over the stamped stems I added dimension to two of them by using Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them.  The other flowers were adhered by using glue dots.

The bow is Mint Macaroon 3/8″ sheer linen ribbon and adhered using a glue dot.  The sentiment is Thanks Stamp from the Jar of Love Stamp Set stamped in Tuxedo Black on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  It was then die cut using an appropriately sized die from the Tags and Labels Set.  It was then smudged on the edge using a sponge dauber and Mint Macaron Ink.  I adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The cute little Bee was stamped in Tuxedo Black on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  Die cut using the bee die from the Everyday Jar Framelits set.  I colored it using Daffodil Delight and Aqua Painter.  I gave the bee a little ‘bling’ adhering a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel to his head.

The inside of the card was finished using Very Vanilla Card Stock and placing a piece of Washi Tape form the Affectionately Yours Set across both corners.  The flowers are stamped using the two step flower from the Jug of Love Stamp Set.  The base of the flowers were stamped in Pool Party Ink.  The top layer was Mint Macaron.

Stampin’ Up! Wetlands and Rose Wonder Stamp Sets Thank you Card.

Night of Navy sets off the slight edge of Crushed Curry on this lovely Thank Card using the sentiment from Rose Wonder and the image from Wetlands Stamp Set.  The simplicity of this card, I think, makes it elegant and perfect for a man.  The card base is Whisper White Card Stock then a layer of  Night of Navy Card Stock and the next layer is a simple pattern from the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.

I used a 2″ wide piece of Night of Navy to create a kind of band across the bottom and adhered it using SNAIL Adhesive.  I stamped the image of wheat? in Night of Navy on Whisper White Card Stock then layered it on Crushed Curry.  I then placed a length of Night of Navy Solid Bakers Twine below the image and tied it in a knot fraying the ends of the twine.  I then adhered both layers to a Layer of Night of Navy.  I allowed an 1/8″ border all around the image.   Be

To complete the card and keep it simple I choose two round dots from the Regals Enamel Shapes in Crushed Curry and adhered to the left side of the card.

This card was finished inside by using Night of Navy Ink to stamp the Wetlands Image in the lower left Corner on Whisper White Card Stock.  I wanted a good bit of the DSP to show so I allowed 1/2″ around all sides between the DSP layer and the Night of Navy Card Stock layer. The envelope was also stamped with Night of Navy on the lower left corner of the envelope.  Clean, quick, simple and elegant!
