Stampin’ Up! Succulent Garden DSP Congratulations

Are you going to miss Mint Macaron when it disappears June 3?  If you love it be sure to lay in a supply of Ink, refill and paper before it all disappears.  Supplies go pretty quickly in the favorite colors after Onstage.  Just a heads up.

This card base is  Mint Macaron Card Stock.  Kind of quick and clean.  The picture does not do it justice.  The card front is layered with Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper, with 5/8″ mini striped across the lower bottom.  Next a Whisper White Lace Doily (in Occasions Catalog-two sided, one Whisper White the other Very Vanilla) was layered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   A piece of the ribbon was also layered on top of that and ends notched. Ribbons were adhered using SNAIL Adhesive.

The sentiment is from Floral Phrases stamped in Mint Macaron and heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.  The sentiment was die cut using the appropriate size oval from Layering Ovals Framelits dies. The Mint Macaron back layer was die cut using an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.  This was adhered to the doily and ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flower is from the Special Reason Bundle.  I die cut the flower first in Whisper White Card Stock and using a Sponge Dauber I smudged it with Mint Macaron Ink.  The back of the flower was die cut from Mint Macaron Cardstock as was the leaf.

Adding pearls to the top left and a bit bigger pearl to the center of the flower.  The flower was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside was finished by layering Whisper White Card Stock and using Mint Macaron Ink and the stamps from the Special Reason Stamp Set I stamped the flower and the leaves. To make the flower more distinctive I just ‘dabbed’ more Mint Macaron Ink on the petals using a Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker.

Autism Matters Blog Hop

April 2 is National Autism Awareness Day!  Our group is featuring Autism colors of Blue, Red and Yellow.  I have a personal interest in Autism Month.  My 13 year old Great Grandson, Logan  is Autistic.  He is a wonderful child.  He is sweet, loving, thoughtful and loves helping.  I love his attitude and his approach to life in general.

Did you know that as early as infancy, a baby can begin to show the three hallmark features of autism: communication challenges, impaired social interactions, and repetitive behavior?   These characteristics and behaviors will follow this infant throughout his childhood into his adult years.

Please consider donating to this very worthwhile cause (a link to the donation site is below).  Advances are being made every day in caring and educating these children.  The Autism Society supports parents and facilities with Autistic children by providing Education, Advocacy, Referrals for services and promote research in Autism among many other thing.  To learn more click on the link above.

This card was created to exemplify hope, courage and especially celebrate life!  Colorful, vibrant and  exciting!  Logan is a star in my world and I am so happy and very proud  to be his Great Grandmother.  Here is my card for Logan.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tags in cheerful Daffodil Delight Thank You Card.

Spring has sprung here in North Georgia.  Just a week ago I was busily covering my Hosta’s pushing up from the ground to prevent freezing damage-temp expected was 22!  The early, tender leaves were slightly bitten but too bad.  So I thought this pretty “Springy” looking card would be a nice Thank You Card while the weather is warming up (and the pollen is falling)!

The card base here is Daffodil Delight layered with Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper in different Shade of Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.  I rounded all the corners to give the card a bit more Pizzazz.  The Flower was first die cut using the Flower die in Timeless Tags Thinlits dies out of Daffodil Delight.  The using this as a blank frame I glued it to a piece of Whisper White Card Stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   Using the same die again I die cut the center of the flower using Early Espresso Card Stock.  Carefully fitting the center into the frame I glued it using the Multipurpose Glue.

The inside of the flower was die cut from Crushed Curry card Stock and Wild Wasabi Card Stock.  These pieces were then matched to their puzzle and glued in place.  This layer was then adhered to a Daffodil Delight Layer and adhered to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensions.

The bow is Whisper White and made using the 5/8″ Organza Ribbon, adhered to the front of the card using several Glue Dots.  The Sentiment is from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. The Sentiment was then die cut from Layering Ovals Framelits.   It was framed by using the next large size and die cutting it from the Layering Ovals Framelits.  These two layers were adhered together using SNAIL Adhesive and all were adhered to the lower right front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Here is a picture showing the dimensional designs of the front.

The inside of the card was layered with Whisper White Card Stock.  Before Layering I punched out the butterfly decoration from the Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies on the lower right hand side.  I carefully cut a small piece of DSP and layered it just under the die cuts and all were adhered tot he inside back by using SNAIL adhesive.

Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up Bundle in Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder

The colors in this Carried Away Designer Series Paper are so bright and cheerful!  Combined they make me want to smile.  However, this Designer Series Paper is going to be Carried Away on April 1.  You have just one more day to order and get this bright paper free!!! (order of $50 or more).

The card base is Peekaboo Peach Card Stock and layered with Watermelon Wonder Card Stock and a layer of Carried Away DSP.  The Sentiment is Stylized Birthday Stamp (only in rubber/wood block) and stamped in Watermelon Wonder on Whisper White Card Stock.  The Sentiment was heat embossed by using Stampin’ Clear Embossing Powder over the Watermelon Wonder Ink.

The Sentiment was then die cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and layered with a piece of Carried Away DSP die cut using next larger die in Layering Squares Framelits.  The next frame is die cut from the next larger die in Layering Squares Framelits and all layers adhered together using SNAIL adhesive.  This panel was then adhered to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it some height.

The hot air balloons are from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set stamped in Archival Black Ink, on Carried Away DSP and die cut using the matching dies from the Lift Me Up Bundle.  These were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This angle shows the dimensional effect a little bit better.

The inside was finished by stamping the smaller balloons in Watermelon Wonder on Whisper White Card Stock.  The clouds are also from that Stamp Set and are stamped in Smoky Slate. The sentiment is from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and stamped in Watermelon Wonder.

Stampin’ Up! Quick and easy Thank You Card in Melon Mambo

Here is a quick and easy Thank You  card for that occasion when you really want to express your delight in something someone has given you or done for you.   Lots of room inside to write your gracious Thank You Note.

Card base is Melon Mambo Card Stock with front panel of Basic Black Card Stock and Pop of Pink Speciality DSP.  Before adhereing this panel wrap a length of Basic Black Baker’s Twine around the panel lengthwise and tie in a bow.

The sentiment circle panel is three layers of Basic Black, Pop of Pink Speciality DSP and Whisper White.  The sentiment from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set was stamped in Melon Mambo on Whisper White Card Stock.  The sentiment was then die cut using the Circle Die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.    The other two layers were cut in graduating sizes from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. This Circle Panel was adhered to the lower right front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish off the front I added two Heart Embellishments in Melon Mambo from the Brights Enameled Shapes.

The inside was finished using Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape across the upper right  and lower left corner on the Whisper White Card Stock.

Stampin’ Up! One Big Meaning Feminine Thank You Card

Don’t you just love the Falling IN Love Designer Series Paper?  It is so soft looking, and has so many possibilities.  I was casting about for a lovely Thank You card and found this pretty rising hearts paper.  So… I combined it with Blushing Bride Card Stock  and Very Vanilla Card Stock  for the base and for the Sentiment and the inside back page.

This was a quick and easy, and oh so pretty card.  The sentiment is from the One Big Meaning Stamp Set stamped in Blushing Bride.  Die cut ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelit sets.  The lace is Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim and the ribbon is Very Vanilla 1/4″ Satin Ribbon.  The embellishment is  Falling In Love Embellishments and was adhered using several Glue Dots.  The Very Vanilla Ribbon and the Embellishment are both from the Occasions Catalog.  As is the DSP.  Finishing the from I added two Rhinestone Basic Jewels to match the Embellishment.

The inside was finished by layering Blusing Bride Card Stock with Very Vanilla Card Stock.  Using one of the Lace Doilies and a Sponge Dauber I held it in place with one hand and ‘smudged” Blushing Bride Ink with the other!  Quite a feat but so worth the extra effort.

Stampin’ Up! Oh So Succulent Oh So Versatile!

There is a story behind this card!  I was supposed to create a tutorial to be added to next months Amy’s Stampin’ Krew tutorials and Oh So Succulent is the theme.  We’ll, I had great ideas, and as they evolved they became more and more involved and when I completed this card I realized-Oh dear!  It would take three pages of instructions to describe how to make this card step by step!  So I did another card and it will be my tutorial.  This is my card for today!

For this card I chose Calypso Coral Card Stock for the Card Base, and layered it with Old Olive Card Stock.  Next I layered a piece of Whisper White Card Stock on top of the Old Olive.  Next I took a 2 X 3 3/4″ Calypso Coral and layered with a  1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ Old Olive.  Then added a 1 1/2″ layer of Succulent Garden DSP onto of that.

The Basket behind the flowers in the bigger circle is from the carryover Holiday Stamp set Basket of Wishes Stamped in Early Espresso and colored in using the Blender Pen and Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. Die cut using Layering Circles Dies. Graduating circle dies were used to die cut the Calypso Coral and the Old Olive background circles. The Whisper White Circle was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise it a bit above the Old Olive.

The flowers were all stamped on Whisper White Card Stock using Sweet Sugar Plum, Calypso Coral and Old Olive and colored in using a Blender pen with the same inks. They were then die cut using the matching Succulent Framelits Dies.  These die cut flowers and stems were then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue once I had carefully arranged them in a pleasing fashion.

The lower right ovals used the basic colors as above and die cut from the same size Layering Ovals Framelits.  The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive on  Whisper White from the stamp set Basket of Wishes.

The little enamel dots are in Calypso Coral.

The inside was layered like the front, the sentiment is stamped in Old Olive using the Stylized Birthday Stamp.  The flowers are die cut from the Oh So Succulent flowers, stamped in Calypso Coral and colored in using a Blender Pen.  Adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
